Dani and his family bring a very special feature to this great city Zurich. Your personal Swiss watch maker who is crazy cool. I am from Barbados, educated in the U.S. Born in the UK and now living in Zurich for 10 years working as a boring Banker. Maurie de Mauriac ist die einzige Uhr, welche in Zürich zusammengebaut wird. Die Uhr kann selber noch etwas modifiziert werden (z.B. Farbe der Zeiger oder Zifferblatt). Der Laden ist sehr unkonventionell so wie der Besitzer. Top Adresse für Uhrenfans, welche nicht eine 0815 Uhr einer Marke kaufen wollen, die jeder hat und wo das Geld primär in die Werbung geht.
Anyone visiting Zurich and anyone who is into watches should come see this shop and meet with Daniel the owner. As a reader of many watch blogs I took many notes on what shops to visit on my recent trip to Zurich. I wanted some new watch straps and wanted to see some unique time pieces. I was told that Maurice de Mauriac not only had the best selection of straps but made custom watches as well. They do not disappoint- upon entering the shop I was greeted by the owners son and he showed me the vast inventory of straps they had. After picking out some straps I was lucky enough to meet with Daniel the owner and get to talk for a while. These guys were great- they talked to me for some time about the watches they offer and at no point did they ever pressure me to buy anything other then what I originally came in for. Their customer service is second to none and they truly made me feel at home. They even offered me advice on places and things to see in Switzerland. With service like this I am sure to come back on my next visit and pick up more then just some straps.
